Welcome
The Department of Geography has recently started a programme of research apprenticeships, aimed at getting four of our current undergraduate students directly involved in our research in human and physical geography.
The four projects for 2015 – 2016 are as follows:
- Global Warming & Glacier Retreat
- Mapping, Movement & Wellbeing: Using GIS to Let Adolescents Monitor their Own Physical Activity
- Recollecting The Region: Social Identity and Memory from the Deindustrial North East
- Sea-Level Change and the Viking Occupation of Skye
Each apprentice will periodically post updates to this web blog so that you can follow in real-time to see how they are getting along and what they are finding out from the experience.
