Getting to our final destination was an eventful journey that took over 26 hours to complete. So we were very glad to finally arrive at the other end at IIT Kanpur.
After landing I was surprised by the ease of travel within New Deli. We took the Metro from the airport to Connaught Place in central Delhi which was on par if not more sophisticated than many Western systems. The metro also uses a similar system but was more exciting in the fact that it was one of those trains where everyone packs in so tightly you don’t have to hold on to anything! After waiting in Deli for a while we boarded our train to Kanpur where we were met by one of the staff and a driver who took us to IIT where, after quickly checking in, headed to bed for some much needed sleep.
